(including dosages and how you take them). Ask your doctor what each medication is used to treat. Knowing these facts and having them in your hand at all time will save your doctor time. In the course of a lifetime, you may be prescribed many medications. Some you may be taking for a short period of time and some may be discontinued for one reason or another. Having an updated medication list with you at all times may even save your life. Understand that your doctor may not have an updated medication list. One reason is that changes are made that your doctor may not be aware. We like to provide the best care possible. With your help, we can achieve that goal. Prioritize your list of problems. In a 15-30 minute office visit, please understand that we may not be able to address your issues in one visit. At anyone visit, we may be able to address one to three problems at a time, depending on the complexity of the issue. Any nonurgent matters may have to be addressed at a separate visit.
